HOW TO DISSOLVE GELATIN IN WATER BEFORE ADDING TO A DISH?
Gelatin - 3 tsp
Water - ½ cup
Sprinkle gelatin over
water in a heatproof bowl (e.g. Steel)
with a large surface area (not in a small bowl). Let it rest for 5 minutes till
gelatin swells up and looks spongy. Place the bowl (insert) in a pan or bowl of
simmering water. The insert here is placed in the water (not like in case of
chocolate). Leave insert in water till gelatin dissolves. If some granules
remain, stir to dissolve till translucent. Remove insert from water. Cool
slightly and add to dish.
