WHAT IS WHEY?
Whey is –
1. The water that is left
after making Paneer (Cottage Cheese).
2. It is also the watery
part of curd.
3. It is also obtained by
hanging curd in a muslin cloth, to make hung curd. During this process the whey
collects in the bowl kept under the hanging curd.
It is full of calcium,
protein and digestive enzymes.
It can be used while
kneading dough to make rotis. It can also be used instead of water, during
cooking.
